What we do.

Mixmaster Throwdown — MMTD — is the Mixmastered group's events channel. Since 1997 we've been producing live events, corporate activations, festivals, and DJ-driven nightlife in Chicago and beyond.

We run corporate event marketing: brand activations, product launches, employee summits, trade-show booth experiences, and the entertainment that makes a corporate room actually feel like an event. We run live events and festivals: production, DJ programming, talent booking, and the operations that keep a 50,000-person crowd moving.

We run trade-show entertainment for booths and conferences that need more than a backdrop and a tablecloth — DJ sets, hosted activations, photo experiences, branded giveaways (printed by our own Lean Print Shop, naturally). We run nightlife and venue marketing when an operator needs to fill a room every weekend, not just on opening night.

What kinds of events does Mixmaster Throwdown produce?

Corporate event marketing, brand activations, product launches, festivals, trade-show booth entertainment, conferences and summits, nightlife and venue programming, and high-end private events. We're not a wedding-DJ outfit — we're an event marketing company that happens to have deep DJ and music credentials.

Where does MMTD operate?

Headquartered in Chicago, IL. We produce events across the Chicago metro and travel for corporate clients, festivals, and trade shows nationally.

How is MMTD different from a typical event planning company?

Three decades of operator experience, including five years as the Chicago Bears DJ (2005–2010) and a 50,000-person mainstage at B96 Summer Bash 2007. Most event marketing companies are sales-led and execution-light. We're the inverse: the person selling the event is the one running it on show day.

Can MMTD handle both the entertainment AND the production logistics?

Yes. We program talent, build the run-of-show, manage on-site production, and coordinate vendors. For trade shows we also handle booth print, banners, and giveaways through our sister channel Lean Print Shop — one Mixmastered call instead of three vendors.

Do you do trade-show booths and corporate activations?

That's a core specialty. DJ sets at booths, hosted activations, photo experiences, branded giveaways, on-site swag fulfillment. Corporate marketing teams hire MMTD when they need their booth to be the one that fills up.

What's MMTD's relationship to Mixmastered?

MMTD is the Events channel of the Mixmastered group. Same operator who runs the studio, the records label, and the print shop. The benefit: when your event needs music production, recap video, or printed materials, it stays inside one shop.
